At North East Derbyshire Citizens Advice Bureau our Debt Team can advise and assist you on all aspects of debt and on the options available.

We can advise you face to face or by telephone, and regularly conduct home visits for our vulnerable clients and those with special needs.

We can advise and assist on Debt Management Plans, IVAs, bankruptcy, bailiffs, court forms, creditor negotiation and repossessions including representation at court hearings in some cases.

Last year our Debt Team handled approximately £4 million of debt (not including mortgages) with this figure likely to increase significantly over the coming year.

The bureau also has a high success rate with applications on behalf of our clients to various charitable organisations including the Royal British Legion and the Severn Trent Trust Fund.

North East Derbyshire Citizens Advice Bureau has produced a Debt Management Plan & Guide to assist you to deal with your debts. It is completely free to use with any payments you make going to your creditors in full, which is good news for you and for them. There are no start up costs or fees to pay and we do not receive any funding, commission or donations from creditors out of your payments. It can be downloaded from our website along with the rest of our debt guide without having to enter any of your personal details.
